About
Sandra Portal-Andreu, Tappas®️ Creator and Co-Founder, is a Miami native with Cuban and Colombian roots. She’s a multi-disciplinary artist, entrepreneur, and mother of two. Her passion for movement and design led her to create Tappas, a sustainable multi-level container that stores and displays everything from small bites to household items. Drawing inspiration from her artistic background, she wanted to create a product that people can enjoy from home. A statement piece that draws people in to come together, creating community. Sandra earned an AA from the New World School of the Arts, a BFA from the Florida State University, and her MS in Movement Sciences with a concentration in Biomechanics from Barry University
Why Tappas®️
Paying It Forward
We strive to reduce and reuse with every turn of our Tappas®️. We are an eco-conscious company that believes in the power of giving back. With every purchase, a donation will be made to Dream in Green, whose mission is to empower individuals, especially youth, to lead in the response to climate change and other environmental challenges facing South Florida. By establishing partnerships in our community, Dream in Green develops, implements and oversees educational programs and workshops that promote environmentally sustainable behaviors among all age groups, with a particular emphasis on K-12 students. Founded in 2006 to address the unique environmental challenges that threaten the future viability of our community, the organization has grown from working with 3 schools to now serving over 100 schools yearly and partnering with various communities to implement outreach activities throughout the region.
